Exodus Honey Search iTS Plus

Hey, look at that. There’s a song I bought from the iTunes Store that was DRM’ed but is now being sold as a DRM-free iTunes Plus track. Let’s go take a look at my Upgrade page for iTunes Plus to see if I can upgrade.

iTunes Plus Upgrade $0.40

Well, it appears I can upgrade something…

iTunes Plus Upgrade Page Exodus Honey

Oh, but I have to pay $0.40 for a track that costs $00.00 more than what I paid for?…

Note: This could be a temporary thing. Rumours are circulating that Apple is going to officially announce a price-drop for their iTunes Plus tracks tomorrow: $0.99 from $1.29 (or $1.39 for us Canucks). So, let’s wait and see Apple’s officially policy.

  1. Wait, why are we still paying more than the Americans?

  2. Er… that sounded bad. I meant why is our price higher than the American price even though the Canadian dollar is worth more?

  3. Apple introduced iTunes Plus in May, when the Canadian dollar wasn’t as close in value to the U.S. dollar as it is today. However, DRM’ed tracks in the Canadian store were always priced at $0.99 since the day it opened back in December of 2004.
